In addition to the World Scout Jamboree - GLMW are also planning to send a party to the Jamborette in Holland, also taking place in 2023.

The Jamborette is held every four years in Haarlem, near Amsterdam. In 2019 the event was attended by over 3,000 Scouts from 25 countries!

GLMW was well represented in 2019 and for 2023 , 36 Young people recruited from across the County. 

Young people attending the County contingent will need to be of Explorer age at the time of the event in 2023. The cost for each participant is £1,000 which will include travel to and from Holland, the 12 day Jamborette plus weekend camps and events beforehand.

This year we will be operating a registration and assessment process in parallel with the World Scout Jamboree team. Young people will complete a single application form specifying which event they are applying for. ( Or if applying for either, which would be their preference. ) The Jamborette is held at a similar time to the World Scout Jamboree so it is not possible to attend both.
