As part of British Science Week, we will be running a Fun Day for the Beaver Scouts of Brent District in March. Beavers who come along on the day will meet all the criteria for the Experiment Activity Badge. 

The event team are hoping to use this day to also meet some harder-to-hit badge criteria that may be difficult for some groups and would like Beaver leader suggestions as to what they would like to cover on an activity day. The theme of Science Week is ‘Connections’ and some ideas that could be looked at are: 

• International theme – learn about Scouts in other countries, play international games and hear from people going on international camps

• Air activities (potentially with the RAF Youth Team) – learn about planes, make some models and play some aviation skill-based games

• Camping skills – using the grounds and equipment at Stember to teach about camping, fires and camp craft. We could even do lunch on fires!
