Office 365 for All Adult Volunteers

Starting in December 2018 we are rolling out Microsoft Office 365 to all adult volunteers in Willesden District. Every volunteer will have their own @willesdenscouts.org.uk email address and access to secure cloud data storage using Microsoft OneDrive.

We are doing this to help us better comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) allowing all volunteers to keep records, including those about young people, separate from their personal messages and records.

Office 365 was initially trialed with the District Team and GSLs, and is now being rolled out to remaining District roles, the activation for groups will start in the new year.

We will also be making us of Microsoft Teams to allow greater collaboration between our volunteers. Volunteers will be able to message online including in a mobile app for Android and iOS as well as have online video calls, reducing the need to travel to additional meetings.
