Perception of Scouting Survey β€œAnswers”

Thank you for completing the survey, it will help us in understanding the perception of scouting and how we can promote scouting to both young people and adults not currently involved in scouting.

In the survey we ask you to guess a number of question about scouting; here are the β€œcorrect” answers.

On average scouting membership and the cost of additional activities (camps etc.) is ~Β£200 per year

Number of Volunteers and Paid Staff in Organisations

The Scouts is the biggest volunteer organisation in the UK, along with the Girl Guiding who have over 100,000 volunteers.

The average scout group has no paid staff, and a small number of groups with a building employ a part-time cleaner, but they are not employed to deliver scouting activity.
